I just got back from Arles attending a photography
festival. I think many people know about Arles because of Van Gogh, as well as this festival. I have been a festival so long, it was so refreshing. I met so many photographers and talked with them every day not only photography, but also philosophy, politics, and food! (basically, everything) I always feel so comfortable around artists, I could naturally relate to them. The more I know them, the more I enjoyed their works. Of course I enjoy works without meeting the artists, however it always a special to me. It was exciting to see Rimaldas Viksraitis's work. I didn't know his work much, but I drawn into his work immidiately.
The sunbeam in South France was so strong.
アルルの写真フェスティバルにいってきました。パリのリオン駅から出発しました。ゴッホゆかりの地で知ってる方が多いように、このフェスティバルをご存知の方も多いかと思います。
フェスティバルに参加するのはとても久しぶりで、とても良かったです。いろいろな写真家の方と出会い、毎日いろいろな話でもりあがりました。初めて会う方も気さくな人が多くすぐに打ち解けてることができるのはやはり、同じ興味があるからでしょうか、国を超えても言葉が違っても作品を見せながら会話ができるのです。彼らの哲学や政治などの話や食べ物の話まで、沢山のことを話ました。展示されている作品も面白かったです。Rimaldas Viksraitisの作品が特に面白かったと思いました。あまり彼の作品をしらないのでもっと見たいなとおもいました。
南フランスの日差しはとてもまぶしかった。
