friend's show

先日大学院時代の友達が香港でショウ&トークを行いました。もう、４年位あってなかったので、お互い抱き合って喜びました。わーい。久しぶりに見る彼女の作品とトーク面白かったです。やっぱり、実際のアーティストから聞く、作品制作の様子はとても興味深いものです。彼女は北京に住んでいるのですが、多くの時間をヨーロッパですごしているそう。

その後時間があるということで、一緒に食事をした後、他のギャラリーのオープニングへ。ロンドンのギャラリーが香港に新しくだしたギャラリー、いってきました。オープニングパーティは普段メンバーでなくてはいけないというバー。華やかな場所は久しぶり、喜んで参加させて頂きました。シャンペンで迎えられた後は、美味しいワイン。

Old friend from SVA had a show in Hong Kong. She lives and work in Beijing now but spends lots of time in Europe. I haven't seen her almost 4 years, it was so nice to her. We were so happy to see each other. We hug and screamed with joy. I really enjoyed her talk since I haven't been familiar with her recent works. She described her work from the earlier stage when she was in the school to the present time. It is always interesting to listen to artists talks, I get known them and their works.

After her talk, we went to other galleries' openings. One of the gallery from London was just opened another gallery in Hong Kong. They had a big party after the opening and the party was held at a members-only club. I hadn't been to the bar, it was exciting to see inside. Good champaign and wine. I hadn't been such a fancy place recently, it was nice. :)
